Attila Béres poet, writer, lyrics writer is a regular participant of the Hungarian cultural life. His first poem was set to music when he was 17. He has been the editor of leading cultural periodicals for 20 years. He writes novels, short stories, lyrics to plays, musicals and children’s plays.

Several of his radio plays have been on in the Hungarian Radio since they were written. Some of them were awarded different prizes and were played in other countries, too. (Deutschland Radio, Berlin, Köln, Saarländischer Rundfunk, Croatian Radio, RTV Slovenija, etc. His most important radio plays writen for Rádiószínház (Radio Theatre) are: Csupa Marlonbrandó (Marlon Brando - Everybody around me, (awarded the prize of critics), Paganini zengő húrjai (Paganini’s resounding strings) awarded the first prize of the radio play competition in 2000). His radio play Boldogság (Happiness) was nominated for the Prix Italia prize. His play Arany trombita (Golden Trumpet
) won first prize on the 13th Competition of Hungarian Playwrights.
He is a scenarist, co-author to radio and television series of the Hungarian Radio, Hungarian Television, RTL, Félix Film, Chaplin Film, New TNG. etc.)
His musical: Eclipse of the Crescence Moon has been on in Hungary and the neighbouring countries since 1997. His play: Two times Lotte (adapted from Erich Kästner) was perpetually on for 9 years in the Kolibri Theatre in Budapest. He is the co-author of a Wallenberg film (Hommage a Raoul Wallenberg) distributed in all the secondary schools on Hungary.

His oeuvre so far: 3 volumes of poems, 4 novels, 20 radio plays, dozens of articles, pieces of criticism, lyrics, translations.

He is the librettist of six musicals and the lyrics writer of an other six play with music.
